We did it! 1 year sober 
This time around I didn't want to count days but I know I've past that mark and damn time flies when your sober, growing, learning, finding your spirit again. The world 
is beautiful when your on this side, grey days seem bright, mind gets much clearer and you can begin to focus again on your plan. Addictions will take you away from everything, everything that is meant to be there for the sake of your own happiness. When you can't even see the love you're surrounded by and look at everyone like they're against you, that's when you know it has you and over the course of my life it has had me to the point of losing it all many times. How many times are you going to let it win and take all that love away from you? How many times have you had to start from scratch only to begin the cycle all over again? I believe we truly lose our spirit through our addictions and we start becoming someone totally different, someone so unrecognizable that you don't even know yourself anymore. Your has spirit has left watching you from a distance as you continue on this destructive path. A path that not only consumes yourself but your family and loved ones. A cycle that consumes our Indigenous people and I have begun to see that in a way we normalize this cycle with our humor and actions not realizing we're just feeding the stereotypes that plague us because of this. I have my days that are just so hard but my main objective is to break this cycle for my babies so their kids are brought into a world where they only know success and positivity! And I'm going to turn a year into two then into ten and eventually forever and I encourage everyone going through this battle to take that step and manifest positive beginnings for yourself that you can bring to your family. If you know you can't do it for yourself think of our future generations and do it for them and lets keep our spirits filled bringing a meaningful life to us all. I appreciate every one of you 
Okema will inspire, Okema will not talk with empty words, Okema is not me it is all of us! We are all leaders and its time to lead our youth into a life of prosperity and success! And to do that we need to start with a healthy lifestyle so encourage you all who are on the same path as me, we can do it together! Hiy Hiy
